2022 ACB Hybrid Conference and Convention

Registration Information and Browse Conference and Convention Sessions

For the first time, ACB will be holding a hybrid conference and convention where we will be offering virtual only sessions, in-person only sessions, and virtual and in-person sessions together.

For ACB to hold a hybrid conference and convention, the registration process has changed from what you might have experienced in the past.  Please read the following important information before you begin to register.

  • Online Registration will open May 12, 2022, for members only. On May 19, 2022, registration will open for everyone. Registration ends June 20, 2022. Registration will re-open on June 28th, when the Minneapolis office is on-site in Omaha.
  • Since the conference and convention is being held in Omaha, all times shown on this website are central daylight time!
  • To register, you must login to your member account at https://members.acb.org/. If you do not remember your login and password, you may select “password reset” or call the Minneapolis office at 612-332-3242. Once logged in to the members site, select the link labeled “ACB Convention.”
  • If you have not created a member account at https://members.acb.org/, select the link labeled “Create an Account” and provide the information requested. After creating an account, you can log in, but it may take up to 24 business hours before you will be able to complete a convention registration, as the Minneapolis office needs to link your member account to our database.
  • If you need assistance in registering, telephone registration will be available by calling Janet Dickelman at 651-428-5059.
  • Once you have selected the “ACB Convention” link on the members main page, it will open on an introduction page you should read, the proceed to your preferences page. Please verify your contact information shown. On this page you will also select whether you will be attending the convention virtually or in-person. If you choose to be a virtual attendee, you will not be shown sessions that are only available to in-person attendees (tours, for example). If you choose to be an in-person attendee, you will be shown all virtual and in-person sessions.
  • If you choose to be a virtual attendee and later decide to attend the conference and convention in person, you will need to contact the Minneapolis office to select any in-person only sessions.
  • At any time you may use this page to browse through all the meetings, programs, seminars and workshops being offered. Each day’s general session also appears along with the agenda for that day.
  • Registration closes June 20, 2022. If you have not registered during the May 12th to June 20th period, you will be able to register on-site in Omaha.  Instructions on how to register as a virtual attendee after June 20th will be posted here soon.
  • There is an administrative fee of $35 for ACB members and $50 for non-members. On and after June 28th, registration will be $45 for members and $60 for non-members.
  • Most of the conference and convention will be live streamed on ACB Media. Registering will make you eligible for the daily door prize drawings. By registering, you will also have access to each days zoom sessions and you can  actively participate in the zoom meeting for each session. If you do not register, you will only be able to listen to sessions streamed on ACB Media.
  • All virtual sessions are free of charge and the registration process does not require you to select sessions you plan to attend. Zoom links for attendees will be communicated on this website and via email in a manner like 2021.
  • In past in-person conventions, most sessions had tickets and during the registration process you had to select the sessions you planned on attending. In 2022, you will ONLY select and receive tickets for the tours or sessions that have a charge.
  • See the continuing education / professional development tab for information about how to register for CE (continuing education) credits or PD (personal development) hours. There is an additional charge for registering for CE credits or PD hours.
  • Kids Club will once again be offered to children under 13 for in-person attendees. Fun activities are scheduled from July 2nd to July 7th. To register your child(ren) for Kids Club, please register yourself (and significant other if applicable), then call the Minneapolis office at 612-332-3242.  You will receive a discounted administrative fee for your children.
  • The conference and convention program will be available in large print, braille, and digital cartridge.  In-person attendees will receive their program when they pick up their registration packets. Programs for virtual attendees will be mailed directly to the address listed in your ACB account profile and you should receive the program prior to the beginning of the convention. You will also be able to download and/or browse the conference and convention program on www.acb.org.
  • Refunds: ACB will make no refunds for convention administrative fees, sponsorship donations or Continuing Education Flex packages purchased.
  • Refunds will be issued only for merchandise that has been purchased but not yet shipped. A refund request can be made by emailing nbecker@acb.org or calling (612) 332-3242 on or before June 20, 2022.

Below you may browse through all the seminars, workshops, programs and social events being offered. Note that this year room numbers have been added to in-person sessions (HH stands for Hilton Hotel and CHI stands for the Convention Center). There may be changes to this session information before registration opens May 12th. Dates and times could change, sessions can be added or deleted, rooms could change, and session descriptions may be updated. We will strive to keep this section as up to date as possible.
