VOLUNTEER RULES:
- Persons are not authorized to act in a volunteer capacity unless you have registered and been approved as a volunteer by the American Council of the Blind (ACB).
- Volunteers should be able to work a three to four hour shift.
- Volunteers must be clean, hair must be neat, and dress must be appropriate. No halters or low-cut tops, cut-offs, short shorts. Underwear must not be showing and clothing with holes or excessively baggy pants are not permitted. Shoes and shirts are required.
- ACB cannot accept responsibility for supervising volunteers under 18 years of age. Under-age volunteers should be accompanied by a parent or adult group leader who can give permission for the youth's participation. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. No babies or young children.
- Volunteers may not accompany a convention attendee to their room or other sleeping room floors.
- Volunteers may not accompany a convention attendee off hotel property (unless assigned as an airport volunteer by ACB).
WAIVER AND RELEASE:
I hereby WAIVE any and all claims, causes of action, demands, or assertions of any kind, which I may have or obtain, now or in the future, against ACB and/or its subsidiaries, officers, directors, members, managers, insurers, affiliates, volunteers, and employees thereof, which may arise out of or in connection with any tours, activities, events, or occasions which are held in connection or in association with the ACB Conference and Convention at the Hyatt Regency Dallas Reunion Hotel in Dallas, Texas.in July 2025, including without limitation, any and all offsite activities and events of any kind, wherever located and whenever held. This Waiver is made willingly, knowingly, and with the full intention that it be effective on and after the date written below, with respect to any claims, causes of action, demands, or assertions of any kind which may have previously occurred, or which may in the future occur with respect to any of the foregoing.
